Walking with Jesus

The Christian faith is not primarily about principles, practices, or even a book. It is about a person.

While we believe the whole Bible is the Word of God, the Bible itself consistently points us toward Christ. Paul tells us that “in him all the fullness of deity was pleased to dwell” (Col 1:19). Jesus himself calls us to “take up [our] cross and follow [him]” (Mark 8:34). The author of Hebrews reminds us that though God once spoke through the prophets, “in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son” (Heb 1:2), and urges us to run the race of faith with endurance by "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Heb 12:1–2).

If we want to grow as Christians, we must spend time with him. The Gospels place us face-to-face with Jesus—his words, his actions, his compassion, his authority, his suffering, death, and resurrection. That is why, in 2026, we are committing to a simple but profound practice: reading one chapter of the Gospels each day, with our eyes fixed on Jesus, learning to walk with him.
